A tiny fox

Yesterday I spent a lot of time sorting my collection of DMC threads. It’s not nearly done yet 🙂 I am going to start a new cross-stitch project and felt the need to sort out the threads by numbers, so I will know which ones I am missing.

I want to share with you one of my old works. This little fox is painted on a tiny canvas (2- by 3-inch). Already made a couple more to give it to my friends .

Some time ago I began to knit small soft toys. I made a couple for myself, then some of my friends saw them and asked to make the toys for their kids. Certain colors 🙂 All of my creations have found their homes, they are loved and the kids are taking the toys with them everywhere. All I’ve heard was “you have to open your shop and start selling them!” So, after a while I gave up 🙂 and listed my toys in my Etsy shop. (If you haven’t visited my Etsy shop, please do so! 🙂 – you will have a better idea about what kind of toys am I talking about).

Usually my toys don’t have faces. It was done on purpose. But a few days ago I was watching a movie on my computer and started to fiddle with a piece of felt that I found laying around. The piece became a face. Then I added some “hair” which later became something like…. fire? 🙂

At first, I thought it would make a nice brooch. Then I had an idea: why don’t I try to put a face on almost finished toy? 🙂 What can I say? I like it! Will add more features later.

There you go:

Thank you for taking time and reading my post! Hope to see you here again.

A couple of weeks ago I decided to create a few ACEO with teapots. Why teapots? Well, I love tea :), so the theme wasn’t hard to pick.

So far I’m done three ACEO. I decided to take pictures during the process of creating the last one, with a red teapot. There you go…

And the final result 🙂

ACEO and mandalas

I always liked to draw on small surfaces 🙂 So a few years ago I started to make ACEO cards. In case you don’t know what ACEO is… there you go:
– ACEO stands for Art, Cards Editions and Originals. Each card is the size of 2.5″ x 3.5″.
– ACEO is the great way to start a collection or add a new item to your existing collection.
– ACEO is a wonderful, unique and inexpensive gift.
These days you can find ACEO for sale on Etsy or eBay. I’m selling mine too – please, visit to my Etsy shop.

I decided to post one of my old ACEOs – “Mandala”. It was done with watercolor pencils and a marker (I used this one from Amazon.ca)
